Community Scholarships – DUE Friday, November 30th

Below are documents that will help you in searching and applying for local scholarships with December 1st deadlines:

  1. How-to Guide 2018-2019 - this is a step-by-step guide for tackling the scholarship process.  It provides tips and advice and also gives more specific info regarding those scholarships that are on the checklist and due on November 30th.  Most questions can be answered by reading through this guide.
  1. 2018-2019 Martin County Scholarship Directory – this is the complete listing of scholarships due November 30th, separated into categories such as GPA/Rank, Financial need, etc.
  1. 2018-2019 MC Scholarship Directory Checklist – this is a checklist that matches up with each of the scholarships in the 2018-2019 directory.  When submitting scholarship apps to me (by the December 1st deadline, or earlier would also be nice), make sure to complete this checklist (only need one copy).
  1. Standard Scholarship Application 18-19 Interactive – this one application is what you will complete for any scholarship in the 2018-2019 Directory that does not require a special application.  Save the form first before typing any information into it, then save again.
  1. Recommendation Request – For many scholarships (and some college applications), you will need 2-3 letters of recommendation.  If you are requesting a letter from a staff member at CALC, please use this recommendation request form or submit a copy of your resume to your recommender.

Notification of a student's award will be made available to eligible postsecondary institution(s) via a secured internet directory of eligible students when a student's award status is official.  If the eligible Florida postsecondary institution the student plans to attend is different from the one listed on the student’s Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA), the student will need to inform Bright Futures. This may be accomplished by logging in to your online account and accessing your Financial Aid Recipient History screen or by calling toll-free at 1-888-827-2004.  A list of eligible postsecondary institutions is available for viewing on the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) website.
