CLARK ADVANCED LEARNING CENTER RANKED TOP HIGH SCHOOL ON TREASURE COAST

Clark Advanced Learning Center, a public charter high school on the Chastain Campus of Indian River State College partnered with the Martin County School District, earned the highest School Grade for high schools on the Treasure Coast in Florida’s Accountability Reporting System. Earning an “A” rating for the 14th year in a row, Clark earned 76% of available points, placing Clark in the top 20 out of nearly 500 high schools throughout the state. Points are earned for student achievement on the Florida Standards Assessment Tests, Learning Gains in reading and mathematics, student graduation rate, and for participation and performance in accelerated courses.

Clark has earned continuing accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), an accreditation division of Cognia.
 
SACS CASI provides nationally-recognized accreditation, the purpose of which is continuous school improvement focused on increasing student performance.  To earn accreditation, schools must meet SACS CASI’s high standards, be evaluated by a team of professionals from outside the school and implement a continuous process of school improvement.  Accreditation is granted on a five-year term.
 
Accreditation demonstrates to our students, parents and community that we are focused on raising student achievement, providing a safe and enriching learning environment, and maintaining an efficient and effective operation staffed by highly qualified educators.

• Clark has been designated a Grade “A” school by the State of Florida for fifteen consecutive years.

• Clark is recognized as a High-Performing Charter School and designated as a School of Excellence by the Florida Department of Education.

• Associate degrees have been earned by more than 60% of the Class of 2024.

• Clark seniors collectively complete more than 4,000 hours in the local community through Internships each year in cooperation with over 100 community business partners.

• College readiness rates for the class of 2024 demonstrated 97% college readiness in English, 98% college readiness in reading, and 97% college readiness in math.

• Clark seniors engage in diverse service learning and community projects and accumulated more than 6,500 service hours during high school.

• Clark seniors earned more than $229,500 in local scholarships and more than $400,000 in Bright Futures Scholarships.

• Clark seniors have been accepted to more than 58 colleges and universities.

• Clark seniors received local, state, and national honors and recognition:

• Congressional Art Award recognition;

• National Merit Finalist status;

• “Joe Kordick Youth Character Award” selection by Boys and Girls Club of MartinCounty/Character Counts of Martin County;

• “Rising Star” selection by Soroptimist International of Martin County;

• “Pathfinder” selections by The Palm Beach Post;

• The digital media designs and traditional artwork of Clark students earn top honors in annual competitions, including the Marvin S. Cone Annual High School Juried Art Show, MartinArts Awards, and the Congressional High School Art Competition.

• Clark students are recognized for academic achievement with induction into the college-level Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, as well as Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society for high school academics.

• Clark parents and community members contributed over 7,000 hours of volunteer service to the school in the 23-24 school year.
